Tracie Arlington

Tracie is the founder and lead instructor of Play It Safe Defense Inc. She also has her black belt in Tae Kwon Do and has been teaching self-defense courses since 1998 to women, teens and children. Tracie is a nationally certified instructor with Jane-Jitsu Women’s Empowerment, Safety and Self-defense Program

 

Play It Safe Defense has been taught to hundreds of thousands of children through Girl & Boy Scouts, after-school programs and school assemblies. Play It Safe also certifies Middle and High school teachers to teach verbal and physical defense in physical education and health classes. 

She has appeared on numerous shows, including Dr. Phil, The Doctors, Fox News, CBS, ABC, and NBC news stations.

  • Black-Belt with United States of America Freestyle Martial Arts Association

  • Nationally Certified Rape Defense Instructor with Defend University and the Women’s Self-Defense Institute

  • Nationally certified instructor with Jane-Jitsu Women’s Empowerment, Safety and Self-defense Program

  • Freestyle Martial Arts “Instructor of the Year”- 2006

  • Soroptimist International “Woman of the Year-2016

  • BA in Communications, with an emphasis in training.

  • Professional Speaker to Mom’s groups, women and teen groups and organizations.
