TigerLight is dedicated to ending violence though non-lethal personal protection.
TigerLight, Inc. is located in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The TigerLight® Non-Lethal Defense System flashlight was created by police officer Sergeant Randy Teig while working in a gang unit for a large Northwest police department. Sgt. Teig is a highly decorated officer dedicated to saving lives.
The first night Sgt. Teig and his partner used the TigerLight® Non-Lethal Defense System on duty, it saved their lives when a subject they stopped in a vehicle tried to shoot them from inside his vehicle. The assailant was surprised by a blast of pepper spray in the face, incapacitating him and allowing the officers to apprehend the subject without further injury or lethal outcome. The TigerLight® proved its unique capability instantly.
Since then, we have been dedicated to bringing this level of personal, non-lethal security to every individual, particularly women as we join in the fight to end violence against women and all innocent individuals.
Various studies reports indicate that 1 in 5 to 1 in 20 women attending college in the U.S. will experience assault before she finishes school. We aim to help put an end to this. At TigerLight, our mission, simply, is to end violence against women. We recognize that the solution for ending violence against women requires an integrated approach: awareness, education, support. We believe that women should be equipped to protect and defend themselves against assault, and we believe that ending violence against women requires changing attitudes and behaviors towards women in our society at large. Help us end violence against women. #STOPVIOLENCE. #STAYBOLD.
We at Tigerlight are proud to support these organizations working to end violence and victimization.
